put your glasses on

i have a thing with glasses.

every time i want to be a little more alone, and not let things or people get to me, i just walk around without my glasses on. that way, i can't see anyone clearly, and in some weird way, it feels like they can't see me either! great for those times when you just need to focus on you, and not the world around you.

and that's what i need right now - FOCUS. focus on school, focus on me, focus on the things that matter in the short run (AND long run), and focus on what makes me happy. easier said than done, but not impossible.

and after i'm all focus-ed out, what do i have to look forward to?

it's that time of year

welcome to election season.

let's all make personal attacks, sport really stupid colours, and talk to everyone on campus like they're our best friend. and then not give a shit about them after we earn their vote. lovely.

if you are campaigning on behalf of either slate, and you find a redhead staring you down with a seriously evil eye, i apologize in advance. i should start wearing sunglasses so people can't see the look in my eye lol.

it's not that i don't care about the school, or that i don't care about the issues - I DO. i'm just NOT a politician. nor do i like politicians. nor do i like politics. you can see where i'm going with this.

trying to take the most unbiased approach possible, and let the candidates arguments sway my vote. if they sound informed, and enlightened, and competent, generally they'll earn my vote. if empty words is all you've got, you don't impress me. or anyone else, for that matter. already spotted some seriously "empty" comments in the varsity today. bravo for useless, mindless rhetoric.

what would i do differently? who knows. i just know i don't like what's being done.

only one more election season and then i'm outta here :) patience and endurance for the next week or so.

facebook free life, such a strange thing.
when you see things you don't like, gotta cut it at the source, right?
so bye bye facebook. hopefully my productivity will SOAR. so necessary.
and besides, its campaign season, and i can only tolerate so much bullshit on my screen.

olympics was AMAZING. glued to my couch, TV, and ctvolympics.ca (on my phone... smh) for the last 2 weeks. sad to see em go. and pissed at working during the hockey game! only in canada would no one take a shift during the hockey game. double SMH. mad proud though - sid the kid, i love you more than ever. all is right in the world.

4th year comes to a close, and with it, so much pressure. one month for 4 papers. yikes. need a good luck charm (and a large pot of coffee). logging library hours like its my job.

hoping the "in-between" ends sooner than later. hate this feeling more than anything in life. leave it all behind.
